Senior Software Engineer II - Data Engineering and Platform

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable data solutions including ETL pipelines, warehousing, and data architecture
• Lead the strategic vision for the data platform to align with organizational objectives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineering, and data scientists
• Optimize platform performance, scalability, and reliability for large-scale data processing
• Oversee data governance, quality, accuracy, and security frameworks
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to data engineering teams
• Conduct code and architecture reviews to maintain high standards
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Over 5 years of software development experience
• At least 2 years in a technical leadership role overseeing data engineering or platform teams
• Proficiency in Apache Spark, PySpark, Apache Airflow, and Apache Kafka
• Experience with Scala and Python for data pipeline development
• In-depth knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Pulumi or Terraform
• Strong experience in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with Databricks and AWS cloud services
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience working with Distributed Graph Databases
