Senior Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Java-based applications and microservices
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to define technical requirements and system architecture
• Guide and mentor a team of developers through code reviews and adherence to best practices
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of applications within a cloud environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various environments
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, tools, and processes using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Utilize AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS to support application needs

Requirements

• 4+ years of overall IT experience
• Strong expertise in Java (4+), Spring Framework, and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Proficiency in SQL and messaging technologies such as Kafka and AWS SQS
• Experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud monitoring tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, distributed, and virtual team environments
