Senior Software Engineer II, Applied AI

Responsibilities

• Own GenAI-powered security product from design through production and field iteration
• Build and own the logic that turns a detection into the right spoken response including orchestration, prompting, and voice generation
• Define and maintain the precision and safety bar for real-world-actuating systems
• Design and build services, APIs, and integration code for reliability and observability
• Partner with ML scientists and platform teams to integrate detection models into product behavior
• Make pragmatic build-versus-buy decisions regarding managed models, TTS providers, and frameworks

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and shipping production software
• Experience building products on top of ML/GenAI models (orchestration, prompting, retrieval, or tool-calling)
• Experience with real-time, event-driven, or actuating systems (security, robotics, IoT, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node
• Proven track record of end-to-end product ownership
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with computer-vision or video detection-driven systems
• Experience with voice/TTS generation and customization
• Knowledge of agentic and generative tooling like LangGraph, MCP frameworks, or vector databases
• Experience building evaluation frameworks for non-deterministic systems
• Familiarity with edge-to-cloud or IoT systems
