Lead the design and implementation of new features and products to support the BuildOS design platform
Architect and develop cutting-edge geometric algorithms for 3D printing technology
Build and maintain internal tools to visualize, instrument, and debug the 3D printing process
Partner with Architects, Structural Engineers, and Building Scientists to convert architectural plans to path-planning algorithms
Create robust software integrations with 3rd party CAD and CAM software
Design and develop BIM automation tooling to streamline architectural workflows
Lead exploration and prototyping of AI-driven design approaches for generative design and optimization
Drive technical standards and best practices for computational geometry systems

8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer with technical leadership
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong experience building platforms, micro-services, and APIs at scale
Proven track record of architecting complex systems
Excellent communication skills for both in-person and asynchronous channels
Experience mentoring other engineers

Advanced degree in Computer Science
Strong Node.js and TypeScript experience with a functional programming approach
Deep mathematical background in geometry, linear algebra, and 3D mathematics
Hands-on experience with BIM platforms (Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper) and their APIs
Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks for generative modeling or optimization
Experience with geometric kernel libraries such as CGAL or Open CASCADE
Proficiency with React, Redux, RxJs, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL
