Senior Software Engineer I - KYC Experience

Responsibilities

• Design and build intuitive, public-facing APIs for Wise Platform and its global partners
• Architect robust and scalable microservices using event-driven design patterns
• Own technical roadmaps for specific areas, addressing technical debt, reliability, and security
• Participate in product roadmapping and strategy sessions within a cross-functional team
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and by promoting technical best practices
• Solve impactful problems that unlock new capabilities for partners like Google, Deel, and Ramp

Requirements

• Strong foundation in modern Java or other JVM-based languages
• Extensive experience with the Spring framework and building microservices
• Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and concurrency patterns
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems for scalable event pipelines
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, including schema design and query optimization
• Product-oriented mindset with a passion for user experience and data-driven decision-making
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
