About the role
Responsibilities
- Interface with technical personnel and team members to finalize software requirements
- Write and review detailed specifications for the development of system components
- Translate complex product requirements into effective software designs and program flows
- Implement development processes, coding best practices, and rigorous code reviews
- Operate within various development environments including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Resolve technical issues and complete bug fixes to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Stay current with new technology developments and industry trends
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Software Engineering experience
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency with data manipulation languages and understanding of data modeling principles
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
- Proficiency in modern web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Experience with database technologies (SQL, MariaDB, MySQL, or Snowflake) and ORMs
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker), and Cloud platforms (AWS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with observability tools like SonarQube or New Relic
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, web services, and responsive design principles
- Familiarity with cloud services such as S3, Lambda, SQS, or SNS
