Senior Software Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Interface with technical personnel and team members to finalize software requirements
• Write and review detailed specifications for the development of system components
• Translate complex product requirements into effective software designs and program flows
• Implement development processes, coding best practices, and rigorous code reviews
• Operate within various development environments including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Resolve technical issues and complete bug fixes to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Stay current with new technology developments and industry trends

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Software Engineering experience
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency with data manipulation languages and understanding of data modeling principles
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
• Proficiency in modern web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, MariaDB, MySQL, or Snowflake) and ORMs
• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker), and Cloud platforms (AWS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with observability tools like SonarQube or New Relic
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, web services, and responsive design principles
• Familiarity with cloud services such as S3, Lambda, SQS, or SNS
