About the role
Responsibilities
- Design high-level software architecture to support vehicle integration and test operations
- Create scalable test code and infrastructure to be reused across multiple testing campaigns and vehicle generations
- Coordinate across multiple teams to build software testing infrastructure based on production needs
- Work with ground and flight software teams to integrate flight software into test environments
- Refine specifications from electrical engineers to validate critical flight components
- Support all development phases from initial proposal through successful flight
- Guide large test campaigns by creating necessary tools and mentoring junior engineers
- Participate in a rotating on-call shift to troubleshoot flight and production issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent background
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong proficiency in Python or other high-level object-oriented scripting languages
- Experience designing software systems and test architectures, tooling, or frameworks
- Experience with Linux and shell command line tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with relational or time series databases
- Embedded systems experience
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
