Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead production AI delivery by designing and shipping agentic workflows including tool use, orchestration, and retrieval
• Set AI engineering quality standards by implementing evaluation frameworks, golden sets, and experimentation pipelines
• Design and maintain highly available, performant, and durable features across the platform
• Collaborate with product and design teams to align on priorities and deliver customer impact
• Mentor engineers on applied AI patterns and production readiness for LLM-based systems
• Identify and address technical debt in both AI and non-AI code paths

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in modern SaaS environments
• Hands-on experience taking non-trivial LLM or agent systems from prototype to production
• Strong knowledge of agentic architectures, RAG, and human-in-the-loop patterns
• Proficiency in Ruby, JavaScript, or Python and experience building scalable backend systems
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and cloud platforms like AWS
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end technical projects and manage cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vector stores, embeddings, and hybrid retrieval
• Experience building observability for LLM systems (tracing, cost/latency dashboards)
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, React JS, and GraphQL
• Exposure to security domains like vulnerability management or threat intelligence
