Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in specification development and review software specifications
• Develop and document responsive software design solutions based on requirements
• Develop software assets working individually or in collaboration with other engineers
• Ensure high quality through design, implementation, unit/integration testing, and validation support
• Perform production support including issue investigation and rapid resolution for critical issues

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 8 years of professional software engineering experience
• 8 years of experience with Unix internals, Java or .NET, XML/JSON, and RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres, or SQL Server)
• 5 years of experience with web services applications, preferably RESTful designs
• 8 years of hands-on experience with database programming in Java or .NET
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S. in Computer Science
• Experience with Scala
• Experience with service oriented architectures
• Experience with continuous integration and automated configuration management
