Senior Software Engineer

About the Company

Gigaton is on a mission to cut gigatonnes of carbon emissions from the world’s biggest emitting industries by building autonomous AI control and optimisation systems that leverage the physics of manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own key platform components across AWS and GCP, shaping architecture for scalable, secure systems
• Deploy and operate workloads inside customer-owned cloud accounts
• Work directly with customer IT and infrastructure teams to navigate requirements
• Assist junior team members with development and best practices
• Propose and drive improvements to existing systems and pipelines

Requirements

• Deep experience with AWS or GCP
• Solid understanding of cloud networking
• Fluency in Python and Terraform
• Experience designing or owning CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with agile practices including pair programming, mob programming, and TDD
• Ability to work comfortably in a startup environment with ambiguity

• Experience in industrial, IoT, or similarly complex environments
