Senior Software Engineer (Front-end)

ExaCare AI is a leading health tech company on a mission to build the AI operating system for post-acute care. Their platform turns unstructured referral packets into clear clinical insights to help teams make faster, safer placement decisions.

Responsibilities

• Scale frontend architecture to support a growing engineering organization
• Build high-quality, responsive, data-rich user experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Collaborate with design, product, operations, and engineering teams
• Improve consistency and maintainability across frontend systems and shared components
• Define and enforce frontend best practices regarding component architecture and accessibility
• Expand Storybook coverage and component documentation
• Introduce tooling and automated review guardrails for frontend quality
• Contribute across the stack, including backend APIs and platform improvements
• Mentor engineers and raise the overall quality bar

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with React.js
• 2+ years of experience with Node.js, Python, or similar backend languages
• 2+ years building high-traffic web applications in a startup environment
• 2+ years of responsive web development experience
• 2+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with UI toolkits like Chakra UI or Material UI
• Familiarity with observability tools (Sentry, Bugsnag, or Datadog)
• Exposure to E2E testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or Puppeteer)
• Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Storybook for UI component documentation
• Interest in AI-assisted development workflows
