Responsibilities

• Solve complex engineering problems at a fast pace
• Deliver high-quality frontend and backend code against tight deadlines
• Collaborate with the founding team to deliver robust interfaces to core compliance and anti-fraud financial primitives
• Make pragmatic tradeoffs considering customer experience and business priorities
• Drive changes that increase frontend productivity and API efficiency/reliability
• Influence the direction of Flagright’s platform, services, and engineering culture
• Hide complexity from users behind simple, powerful abstractions

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and maintaining systems in high-scale production environments
• Proven track record of driving projects independently from design through implementation
• Strong interest in building software systems from scratch
• High standard of technical design, implementation, and results
• Strong and transparent communication skills
• Problem-solving mindset focused on growth and solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Distributed NoSQL Datastores (Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB, ClickHouse)
• Experience with Event brokers and Queues (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS)
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, Go, or Scala
• Experience with Docker, AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate), and Apache Spark
