Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on scalability and reliability
• Take end-to-end ownership of services from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring
• Collaborate with architects on system design and technical reviews
• Ensure services meet SLAs, performance metrics, and security standards
• Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines, automation, and observability
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers

Requirements

• 3–6 years of software development experience building Java microservices
• Deep expertise in Java with strong experience in Spring Framework or Spring Boot
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including GKE, CockroachDB, and Redis
• Proven ability to build and operate distributed, cloud-native microservices at scale
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
• Exposure to voice and telephony systems (SIP, RTP, IVR, call routing)
• Experience building latency-sensitive, high-throughput systems
• Familiarity with Looker, analytics pipelines, and large-scale reporting systems
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence
