About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend software solutions and APIs
- Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable backend code
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and architectural issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and frontend engineers
- Mentor other engineers and drive backend engineering best practices
- Leverage agentic coding tools and AI-assisted development environments
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in Java backend development
- Proficiency in REST API design and Microservice architectures
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with databases including SQL, NoSQL, and Redis
- Strong understanding of security best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Gradle and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with event-driven messaging systems
- Background in contact center technologies (IVR, VoIP, Virtual Agents)
- Experience with AI development tools
