Senior Software Engineer (ERP Developer – Informix & COBOL)

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain ERP modules using Informix 4GL and COBOL
• Refactor legacy code to improve maintainability and system performance
• Build APIs and wrapper services to facilitate integration with modern systems
• Manage Informix database schemas, stored procedures, and SQL query optimization
• Support ERP workflows related to Order Management, Inventory Control, and Fulfillment
• Document legacy business logic and assist in migration planning to modern platforms
• Provide incident resolution and break-fix support for the ERP stack

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Informix 4GL and Informix SQL
• Hands-on experience with COBOL for ERP development
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments (AIX preferred)
• Experience working within Order Management, Inventory, or Fulfillment domains
• Solid understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and batch-driven workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of ERP development experience specifically with Informix 4GL
• 2+ years of COBOL development experience
• Exposure to Genero or similar low-code platforms
• Prior experience in retail or supply chain ERP systems
