About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and efficient embedded software for state-of-the-art sensing systems
  • Produce high-quality, maintainable code using C++
  • Design and optimize in-vehicle networks to communicate with sensors and provide a common timebase
  • Design, implement, and test full-stack software in resource-constrained environments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary hardware, software, and system engineering teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, CS, EE, Robotics, or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 2+ years, or PhD)
  • Strong experience in embedded applications and systems using C++
  • Proficiency in network communication protocols, physical layer requirements, and bandwidth
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, and CAN
  • Experience with automotive-grade Ethernet switches (Marvell/Broadcom or similar)
  • Experience with multi-processor SoCs or similar embedded processors
  • Strong software design, algorithm, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with time synchronization, IEEE802.1AS, and Linux PTP
  • Experience with safety-critical sensing systems and network design for fault detection
  • Modern C++ skills
  • Experience developing Linux device drivers (Ethernet, GPU, PCIE, UFS, eMMC, NVMe)
  • Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded or buildroot
  • Technical leadership in automotive or related fields
