Senior Software Engineer, Embedded Linux

Responsibilities

• Board bring-up and maintenance on embedded ARM system (Device Trees, Bootloader, Kernel Drivers)
• Design, implement and maintain system flashing process used in both manufacturing and development scenarios
• Design, implement and maintain system and firmware OTA process
• Customize vendor drivers to support and enhance Nimble’s robotics applications
• Drive software engineering best practices across the team
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to improving team processes and technical standards
• Participate in and lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning sessions

Requirements

• Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Rust, C, or C++
• Experience with Linux kernel development
• Understanding of computer networking
• Experience with uboot, EDK2, platform firmware, or UEFI

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rust
• Familiarity with CUDA libraries and applications
• Familiarity with Nvidia Jetson Platform
• Familiarity with WiFi protocols
