Responsibilities

• Build systems with a constant focus on testing, reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Design, model, and program in a variety of languages and technologies
• Work on legacy code as well as green field development
• Drive projects to completion with initiative
• Learn and promote new technologies with a focus on best practices
• Provide on-call support as needed
• Collaborate with other developers on shared tasks

Requirements

• Multiple years of server-side development experience
• Solid understanding of micro-service architectures and CAP theorem
• Good understanding of functional paradigms and type theory
• Confident JVM knowledge
• Knowledge of modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or Clojure
• Proficiency in domain-driven design and domain modeling
• Working knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience using AI coding assistants to accelerate development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Airflow or other Python-based workflow orchestration tools
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or git
• Exposure to agentic frameworks or MCP server development
• Knowledge of financial concepts, exchange trading, or physical energy trading
