Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and operate systems underpinning financial accounting, regulatory reporting, reconciliation, and cost basis infrastructure
• Deliver on major regulatory, ERP, and financial reporting initiatives
• Migrate infrastructure to Kubernetes and modernize deployment practices
• Modernize observability and monitoring across the finance platform
• Partner with accountants and financial analysts to translate business requirements into architecture and plans
• Review code, provide design feedback, and participate in support rotations

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in Clojure or Python
• Experience in the finance or accounting domain (PnL, reconciliation, general ledger, etc.)
• Strong system design skills including distributed systems and reliability
• Solid understanding of relational databases, transactionality, and data modeling
• Experience with modern infrastructure including containers and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep Python expertise in data pipelines and scheduling
• Experience with Lisp-family languages
• Hands-on experience with observability tooling (logging, metrics, alerting)
• Familiarity with Oracle, Kafka, or Airflow
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code
