Senior Software Engineer

The UP-Trade Operations team builds software that enables DRW's trading operations teams to manage our growing DeFi footprint.

Responsibilities

• Build systems with a constant focus on testing, reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Design, model, and program in a variety of languages and technologies
• Work on legacy code as well as greenfield development
• Ingest and normalize data across multiple chains (Ethereum, Solana, L2 rollups) and custody platforms
• Integrate with DeFi protocols including AMMs, lending platforms, and staking providers
• Develop APIs and UIs for real-time visibility into DeFi positions and risk
• Provide on-call support as needed

Requirements

• Multiple years of server-side development experience
• Hands-on experience with EVM internals, smart contract ABIs, and libraries like ethers.js or web3.js
• Familiarity with DeFi protocols such as Uniswap or Compound
• Understanding of multi-chain architectures, L1s, L2 rollups, and bridging
• Confident JVM knowledge and working knowledge of Node.js/TypeScript
• Proficiency in domain-driven design and domain modeling
• Understanding of micro-service architectures and functional paradigms

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Solana or other non-EVM chains
• Experience with oracle systems like Chainlink
• Willingness to learn Clojure
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and ArgoCD
