Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop features and improvements for the Blue Bite product in a secure, well-tested, and performant way
• Work closely with Product and UX teams within an Agile environment to ensure rapid delivery and feedback
• Design software solutions using maintainable, scalable, and modular code
• Optimize performance-critical applications for speed and scalability
• Implement security and data protection practices within applications
• Break down complex features into manageable deliverables and ship improvements with minimal guidance
• Advocate for code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and decoupled architecture
• Mentor and coach other team members on building high-quality SaaS solutions

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Computer Science
• 5-10 years of professional software engineering experience
• Significant experience building web applications using Python, Django, and Django Rest Framework (DRF)
• Strong proficiency with relational databases
• Experience with both Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and functional programming principles
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within an AWS environment
• Experience with React JS and Node JS
