Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software from architecture to deployment
• Build scalable systems using AWS, Python, MongoDB, and other modern technologies
• Embed security best practices across the full software development lifecycle
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast and reliable deployments
• Apply site reliability engineering principles to strengthen system performance
• Partner with product management to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Design clean, consistent RESTful APIs
• Provide technical support and lead incident investigations
• Champion Scrum and drive continuous improvement
• Support frontend tasks as needed to work across the stack

Requirements

• Significant industry experience building production software
• Deep Python expertise with clean, logical code
• Proven experience building production APIs with FastAPI or similar async frameworks
• Hands-on experience deploying AWS infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Degree-level qualification in computer science or a related field
• Experience with DevOps and MLOps
• Solid grasp of software design patterns, SOLID, and DRY principles
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub, Docker, Linux, bash, and the command line
• Command of the testing pyramid and automated testing types
• Familiarity with modern statistical ML and AI tooling (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas)
• Experience collaborating in fast-paced agile/Scrum teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's-level qualification in a STEM field
• Frontend experience with HTML, CSS, React, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles
• Experience with PyTorch or other deep-learning libraries
• Understanding of Bayesian statistics
