Senior Software Engineer, Device Security

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of embedded device security architecture from the ground up
• Use industry standard cryptography practices for secure key management, hardware secure boot, and PKI
• Collaborate cross-functionally with CoreOS, Firmware, Design, and Cloud Services teams
• Develop custom TrustZone or native kernel applications to enhance hardware-backed identity solutions
• Work on high-profile projects including secure channels between devices and automatic theft detection
• Interface with biometric sensors to create secure data flow channels
• Assist in vulnerability management and apply secure SDLC practices

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in secure programming in embedded systems, AOSP, or Windows environments
• Proficiency in C, C++, or Java
• Strong understanding of embedded systems security (roots of trust, secure boot, cryptography, PKI, or sandboxing)
• Experience in firmware, OS-level, or network security
• Demonstrated ability to architect and lead multi-disciplinary projects
• Experience designing secure interfaces with biometric sensors or custom PKI handling
• Ability to assess attack surfaces and threat models

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in consumer electronics, IoT, medical, or payment devices
• Experience with AOSP and Linux security (TrustZone, TEE, AVB, Keystore, SELinux)
• Knowledge of privacy compliance standards like GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or ISO
