Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own problems end-to-end across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and supportability within a cluster storage system
• Build and harden distributed services including durability, consistency, replication, and lifecycle management
• Optimize performance across compute, memory, IO, networking, and storage media to drive latency and throughput improvements
• Advance reliability through observability, telemetry, failure injection, and automated remediation
• Contribute to security and compliance with secure-by-default engineering practices

Requirements

• Strong foundation in systems programming and distributed systems fundamentals (concurrency, networking, storage architecture, and fault tolerance)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C/C++, Java, or Python
• Hands-on experience developing and debugging on Linux or BSD systems
• Experience using performance and observability tools like perf, strace, dtrace, eBPF, or tcpdump
• Ability to write clean, testable code with experience in unit, integration, and system-level testing and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Deep understanding of kernel subsystems, device drivers, and firmware
• Hands-on experience with RDMA/verbs and high-performance I/O frameworks such as SPDK or DPDK
