Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, reliable data infrastructure systems for analytics, machine learning, and operational intelligence
• Develop robust data processing frameworks and storage solutions optimized for AI infrastructure
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and observability systems to ensure integrity and reliability
• Partner with software engineers, data scientists, and operations teams to deliver infrastructure
• Establish best practices for data engineering and mentor team members

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in software engineering or data infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python and a systems-level language (Go, Java, C, or C++)
• Deep experience designing data platforms, warehouses, data lakes, and streaming systems
• Strong understanding of distributed computing principles
• Advanced SQL skills for data modeling and query optimization
• Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure automation
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage)
• Experience with Apache Beam
• Background in building infrastructure for AI/ML workloads or cloud computing
• Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming architectures
