Senior Software Engineer: Data Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with producers and consumers of data across the organization
• Partner with other engineers on the infrastructure team to improve existing systems
• Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure systems including distributed compute, orchestration, storage, and streaming
• Create a culture of transparency and collaboration through documentation and mentoring
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of data infrastructure engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or software development (Java, Ruby, Go, or Python)
• Experience with data pipelines like Kafka or Kinesis
• Experience with cloud data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS RDS/Redshift, or DataBricks)
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and Kubernetes
