Senior Software Engineer - Data Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data platforms, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
• Implement batch, streaming, and CDC-based data ingestion pipelines.
• Develop deep expertise in data modeling using dimensional modeling and Data Vault principles.
• Optimize SQL queries and performance for large-scale data processing.
• Drive the evolution from batch-oriented processing to near real-time and real-time architectures.
• Implement data quality frameworks and monitoring solutions to ensure high standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and Apache Spark.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EMR, S3, Glue, and Athena.
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, or Kinesis.
• Proficiency in workflow orchestration using Airflow.
• Experience with lakehouse technologies like Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, or Apache Hudi.
• Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling and Data Vault.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience with Scala for data engineering applications.
• Strong understanding of partitioning, schema evolution, and performance optimization.
