Senior Software Engineer, Data Enablement Platform

Responsibilities

• Build, improve, and maintain Brex’s data platform and infrastructure including data warehouse, analytics, streaming, replication, orchestration, and observability
• Partner with product, data science, and analytics teams to launch data-backed products
• Level up data competency across the organization through partnership and education
• Invest in resilient data architectures and participate in on-call rotations to improve operational efficiency

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in a data infra or data platform role
• Experience with Snowflake, Flink, Airflow, dbt, or CDC
• Fluency in Kotlin or Python
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale modern data stacks
• Experience with streaming infrastructure like Kafka
• Experience in backend engineering or full-stack development
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to work in office 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with product teams to build full-stack data-backed products
• Experience with data architecture and data strategy
