Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test software on cross-functional agile teams
• Act as a technical focal for the design and implementation of complex multi-platform training device software and user interfaces
• Perform multi-threaded software debugging and assist in the analysis and decomposition of features
• Contribute to software and systems engineering requirements capture and analysis
• Perform bidding and proposal activities to support the acquisition of new business
• Travel to domestic and international customer sites to support training events and product installations

Requirements

• STEM degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or an Advanced Degree and minimum 3 years of experience)
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date
• Extensive experience working with C++
• Experience with agile development practices and general software engineering design principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux development environments
• Experience using Visual Studio, Eclipse, and Win32/Win64 or Linux APIs
• Strong OOP and C++ language skills including STL and Templates
• Experience with databases (particularly Postgres) and scripting languages like Python or Perl
• Proficiency with source code control (GIT, SVN) and ALM tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Previous experience in simulation or avionics
