Senior Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex problems spanning the full service stack.
• Deploy and update applications within the systems foundation, including compute, storage, and network.
• Operate large-scale Kubernetes clusters in both cloud and colocation data centers.
• Proactively monitor and manage the availability of infrastructure and applications.
• Design code and operate core backend software components to manage infrastructure using Golang and Python.
• Build automation to enable the cloud to be automatically maintainable.
• Participate in the Cloud Infrastructure on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system availability.
• Interface with application development teams to incorporate requirements and eliminate technical debt.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating a SaaS platform as a DevOps engineer.
• Proficiency in software development using Python and/or Go.
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Experience with GitOps deployment tooling, such as ArgoCD.
• Proficiency with the Linux operating system and Shell scripting.
• Experience with containerization technologies.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing distributed systems.
• Experience working with observability stacks.
• Experience with Public Clouds (AWS, OCI) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across and within teams.
