Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operate production AWS infrastructure supporting high-availability financial services workloads
• Own and evolve the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategy using Terraform
• Lead Kubernetes (EKS) platform strategy, including cluster upgrades and Helm chart governance
• Design and drive CI/CD platform improvements using GitHub Actions or ArgoCD
• Define and drive the observability strategy across the platform using Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Define and enforce security architecture standards across AWS environments
• Architect infrastructure for AI/ML workloads including GPU-enabled compute and SageMaker
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and conduct design reviews

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with deep AWS expertise
• Expert-level proficiency with Terraform and IaC standards
• Extensive production experience operating Kubernetes (EKS) at scale
• Strong Linux systems engineering skills and scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go
• Deep expertise in cloud networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, DNS) and security (IAM, KMS)
• Proven experience designing and operating observability platforms
• Strong experience with database infrastructure like Aurora PostgreSQL and RDS
• Excellent technical communication skills for writing ADRs and presenting to leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience
• Experience in fintech or heavily regulated industries (FINRA/SEC compliance)
• AWS Professional or Specialty certifications
• Experience with event streaming platforms like Amazon MSK or Apache Kafka
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML infrastructure and MLOps pipelines
• Proficiency with policy-as-code frameworks like OPA or Kyverno
