Senior Software Engineer, Cloud

Responsibilities

• Develop software systems and cloud applications focusing on maintenance, extensibility, and security
• Build and develop microservices and APIs using new tooling and frameworks
• Implement medical web application systems for large-scale internal and external projects
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical designs
• Define high-level architecture and assume accountability for deployment and release
• Mentor and support other engineers on the cloud team
• Maintain compliance standards within a regulated medical device environment
• Contribute code for cloud connectivity, including OTA updates, Telemetry, and MIoT

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years of experience
• Experience building modern cloud services on AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proficiency in backend web development with Python
• Experience building APIs and restful web services using Node.js, Flask, Nginx, Docker, PostgreSQL, or SQLAlchemy
• Front-end development skills with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a regulated medical device environment
