Senior Software Engineer

Cinder builds the infrastructure that keeps the world's most important digital platforms true to what they stand for. Our software is used by some of the largest internet platforms in the world to manage moderation policies, route content, run AI agents, and measure safety program performance.

Responsibilities

• Build AI agents that review content against customer policies using configurable agent specs
• Develop a workflow engine built on Restate for durable execution and automated moderation pipelines
• Work on review queue tooling including QA decision overrides and skills-based routing
• Build analytics and metrics dashboards using React and Django/GraphQL
• Develop two-way user communication integrations with Salesforce and Zendesk
• Ensure reliability at scale by defining SLIs and improving pipeline throughput

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production software across the full stack
• Proficiency with Django or similar backend frameworks
• Proficiency with React or similar frontend frameworks
• Experience with relational databases and message/event systems
• Experience with high-throughput, data-intensive systems
• Ability to own features end-to-end from data model to UI
• Strong written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Trust & Safety or abuse prevention
• Experience at an early-stage startup
• Familiarity with workflow/automation systems or policy engines
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers
