Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Rust)

Responsibilities

• Develop high-traffic, horizontally scalable systems using cutting-edge technologies
• Maintain and evolve a shared Rust component used by both iOS and Android for networking and data synchronization
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to bridge the gap between mobile development and backend infrastructure
• Participate in brainstorming and design sessions for new product features
• Monitor analytics, manage system crashes, and proactively triage bug fixes

Requirements

• Production experience with Rust or a strong background in systems-level languages (C++, C, OCaml)
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems in production (Kafka, Redpanda, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, or similar)
• Strong instincts regarding consumer social products
