Senior Software Engineer - Backend

Responsibilities

• Work on cross-functional teams to develop and enhance Lalamove's core products and platforms
• Design, build, and maintain features within backend microservices
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to improve user experience
• Drive code quality, knowledge sharing, and continuous development within the engineering team
• Optimize new and existing algorithms to ensure smooth operations and scalable systems

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Java
• Exposure to PHP or GoLang
• Sound knowledge of middleware such as Redis, ElasticSearch, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
• Experience with MySQL or other SQL solutions
• Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently and a "can-do" attitude toward difficult technical issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with code refactoring and improving system architecture
• Ability to thrive and learn quickly in a fast-paced startup environment
