Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of backend-driven, full-stack features powering critical commerce and marketing workflows.
• Architect scalable distributed systems and APIs, managing tradeoffs between latency, consistency, and resiliency.
• Own services end-to-end, from initial architecture through production and ongoing optimization.
• Drive technical direction by leading design reviews and raising engineering standards for testing and code quality.
• Improve engineering velocity by strengthening CI/CD pipelines and leveraging automation and AI tools.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions to foster a culture of high accountability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and operating production-grade software systems.
• Deep expertise in Go or Java, including strong knowledge of concurrency and performance tuning.
• Proven experience designing distributed systems and scalable APIs in high-traffic environments.
• Strong database fundamentals in both Relational and NoSQL systems, including schema design and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native systems using AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3).
• Practical experience contributing to React-based frontend applications.

• Experience working on high-traffic consumer or e-commerce platforms.
• Experience working with modern design systems.
• Exposure to marketing technology or data-driven platforms.
