Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend systems for AI-driven workflows
• Design APIs orchestrating LLMs, retrieval, and reasoning systems
• Develop pipelines for processing drawings, documents, and BIM data
• Architect distributed systems for large-scale, multi-region datasets
• Optimize performance, latency, and cost of AI workloads
• Productionize LLM/agent systems and improve reliability and observability
• Contribute to core architecture, infrastructure, and engineering standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable APIs
• Solid CS fundamentals including systems, data structures, and concurrency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs, RAG, or vector databases
• Experience building large-scale data pipelines or document systems
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
• Experience with GPU workload optimization
• Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment
