Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Responsibilities

• Develop REST and GraphQL APIs in Python and build Cloud Functions on GCP
• Integrate ERP, CRM, and various APIs
• Perform data modeling and performance optimization in PostgreSQL, Firestore, and BigQuery
• Build event-driven systems with GCP Pub/Sub and orchestrate workflows with n8n or Airflow
• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) for data extraction, routing, and classification
• Set up AI agents and RAG workflows
• Manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions / Cloud Build and implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Use AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code effectively and conduct code reviews

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience with strong Python skills
• Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven architecture
• Proficiency with SQL, relational databases (PostgreSQL), REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD
• Experience using LLMs to enhance workflows
• Pragmatic mindset prioritizing MVP and speed over over-engineering
• Native or near-native German language skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GCP (Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery)
• Experience with workflow tools like n8n, Airflow, or Make
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
• Experience with NoSQL, Firestore, Vector DBs, RAG, and Fine-Tuning
