Senior Software Engineer, Autonomous Freight Systems

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of core systems, including schema design, backend APIs, and React frontend surfaces.
• Design and build AI-powered features, implementing agent workflows and LLM-backed automation in production.
• Drive technical design for significant features by producing well-reasoned proposals and aligning teammates.
• Proactively identify and resolve engineering gaps, inefficiencies, and technical problems within your domain.
• Mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design feedback.
• Collaborate with product, design, pricing, and operations to translate complex domain problems into elegant solutions.
• Build and ship incrementally in a high-velocity environment with frequent production deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production-grade systems.
• Full-stack fluency with the ability to own features from the database to the browser.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into real user workflows and production systems.
• Proficiency with deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production services on AWS.
• Strong technical design skills and experience mentoring other engineers.
• A deep sense of ownership and the ability to work independently to solve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, or React.
• Familiarity with agentic patterns, RAG, or workflow orchestration (e.g., Temporal).
• Background in logistics, supply chain, freight technology, or pricing systems.
