Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, test, and verification of missile trajectory and RF signature prediction simulations
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, documentation, and delivery
• Lead project teams and provide technical mentorship to junior-level engineers
• Provide high-quality C++ software development and maintenance alongside software integration testing
• Participate in Agile development ceremonies such as Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Reviews
• Quickly adapt to and implement new technologies and skills as required by project needs

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• Extensive experience with C++ using the C11 standard
• Strong expertise in Object Oriented Architecture and Design
• Proven experience with multi-threading (POSIX, OpenMP, MPI) and SSE or GPU programming
• Experience with version-control software (Git, Subversion, Mercurial) and configuration management tools (Jira, Bugzilla)
• Experience working within an Agile development environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead project tasks and mentor junior engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with MATLAB scripting and Simulink
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or BASH
• Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools like NGTS, AFSIM, or ITASE
• Knowledge of interoperability standards including DIS, HLA, and TENA
