About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded software for Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems, including requirements analysis and component design.
  • Support the development of Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and software architecture.
  • Design software components and unit test specifications.
  • Lead or participate in software design, code, unit test, and integration test reviews.
  • Conduct technical impact analysis for software change requests and identify design risks.
  • Assist with source code integration, branching, and merging.
  • Mentor and lead engineers responsible for sub-project activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience writing embedded software in C, specifically within the Electric Steering or automotive domain.
  • Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR and its libraries.
  • Proficiency in signal processing (filter design, table design) and Feedback Control Theory.
  • Experience with 32-bit automotive multi-core microcontrollers (e.g., Renesas RH850, Infineon Aurix, or NXP MPC55xx).
  • Deep understanding of automotive software standards including V-Model, MISRA, ASPICE, and ISO26262.
  • Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as CAN, CANFD, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with motor control algorithms and tuning/calibrating steering systems.
  • Knowledge of various EPS types (C-EPS, P-EPS, and R-EPS).
  • Familiarity with steering application software, including steering assist functions and current loops.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, block diagrams, and IC datasheets.
