Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build features end-to-end across the stack including frontend and backend
• Develop and maintain backend services using TypeScript and Node.js
• Build user-facing interfaces using Vue
• Build integration services for laboratory instruments and third-party systems
• Deploy and maintain services in cloud and hybrid environments
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Enforce security and compliance controls for HIPAA-regulated environments
• Write tests, conduct code reviews, and maintain code quality standards
• Document features, APIs, and integration contracts

Requirements

• 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with both frontend and backend development
• Proficiency in a statically typed, object-oriented or systems language
• Experience with modern component-based frontend frameworks
• Strong SQL and relational database design skills
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure preferred)
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows and CI/CD
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or OpenTofu preferred)
• Understanding of healthcare data privacy, HIPAA, and PHI handling
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or life sciences industries
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Fastify, or oRPC
• Experience with Vue, React, or Angular
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma
• Exposure to event-driven patterns
• Familiarity with FHIR (HL7 R4)
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or Claude ecosystem
