Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect the Acuity Scene System by designing core high-performance architectures, including ECS frameworks and spatial indexing
• Define foundational 4D abstractions and Entity Component Systems for large-scale multi-agent simulations
• Lead technical strategy and drive architectural decisions for cross-domain integration across air, ground, and maritime autonomy stacks
• Design seamless APIs and optimize systems for massive scalability
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership and mentorship across the organization
• Utilize modern agentic coding tools and AI-assisted workflows to maintain high code quality and development speed

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of professional software engineering experience with expertise in complex systems
• Expert-level C++ skills (C++20 or later), including template metaprogramming and performance optimization
• Proven experience with Entity Component System (ECS) architectures or data-oriented design patterns
• Strong background in 3D/4D spatial systems, coordinate transformations, and geometric algorithms
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for tooling and automation
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with Linux, Docker, and C++ toolchains (e.g., Nix, Bazel)
• Experience with temporal reasoning systems and 4D scene representation
• Background in game development, physics engines, or virtual environment simulation
• Knowledge of collision detection systems
