Senior Software Engineer, AOSP - Core OS

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Android (AOSP) HAL, services, libraries, apps, and Linux kernel modules
• Diagnose and resolve crashes or performance issues with Linux drivers and AOSP components
• Apply OS fundamentals like IPC, virtual memory, and concurrency to meet performance and stability requirements
• Contribute to the architecture and implementation of vehicle hypervisors and embedded OS components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between system software and user interfaces

Requirements

• 5+ years of Android (AOSP) systems software development experience on SoC platforms (Qualcomm, NVIDIA, TI, NXP, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience programming in C or C++ for ARM or X86 platforms
• Proven ability to develop and debug AOSP HAL, services, libraries, apps, and Linux kernel modules
• Strong fundamentals in operating system concepts including IPC, virtual memory, and concurrency/threading
• Experience with embedded software development on ARM platforms and Linux/Android (AOSP)
• Proficiency with Git, Gerrit, and GitHub

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux camera or display drivers for Qualcomm SOCs
• Experience with core Android technologies such as binders, virtIO drivers, or audio HAL
• Experience with QNX multimedia drivers and frameworks
• Experience with hardware debugging using scopes and logical analyzers
