Senior Software Engineer (Android)

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and architecture of significant Android features or modules in Java
• Drive performance improvements including startup time, memory, and jank
• Lead technical discussions and mentor SDE 2 engineers
• Define coding standards, patterns, and CI/CD practices
• Champion AI coding tool adoption including Claude, OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot
• Architect on-device AI pipelines using Gemini Nano or ML Kit
• Partner with product and infrastructure teams to define technical requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proficiency in Java (primary) and Kotlin (advantage)
• Experience with XML Layouts, Jetpack Components, and Clean Architecture/MVVM
• Knowledge of modularization and Java–Kotlin Interop
• Experience with CI/CD and on-device inference
