Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high quality applications and frameworks targeting the Unix/Linux platform
• Design and implement application software in C++
• Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional R&D teams to support product feature definition
• Perform integration and system level testing of software and hardware systems
• Develop documentation including design artifacts and test plans
• Attend surgical cases and engage with surgeons to maintain technical familiarity
• Support clinical prototyping and testing in cadaveric surgical lab settings
• Provide technical support for field-deployed software and lead root-cause analysis
• Maintain rigorous version control and unit testing for regulatory compliance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in medical device software development
• Experience with commercial software development for medical devices (IEC 62304)
• Proficiency in C++ development within a Linux environment
• Familiarity with image processing toolkits such as VTK, ITK, or OpenCV
• Experience with 3D volumetric imaging (CT, CBCT, MRI) and DICOM formats
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Git, Azure DevOps, or Jira
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with surgical navigation systems
• Experience with the Qt framework
• Familiarity with 3D geometry for spatial navigation systems
