Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders across Finance, HR, and Operations to translate workflows into software solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain custom internal applications and AI-enabled tools using Ruby on Rails
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code to rapidly prototype and deploy software
• Architect integrations between internal applications, ERP systems, APIs, and databases
• Develop AI-powered agents and workflow automation tools within security guardrails
• Deploy and monitor applications within Microsoft Azure environments
• Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-171 and protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical design discussions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related STEM discipline
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Proficiency in developing web applications with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with modern source control and Agile methodologies
• Strong stakeholder-facing communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience deploying applications on Microsoft Azure (Azure Container Apps)
• Experience building AI/LLM-powered applications or autonomous agents
• Experience integrating with ERP systems
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and handling CUI
