Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services for card issuing, transaction processing, and settlement
• Contribute to the design of resilient systems within a distributed environment
• Write high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Design and implement reliable, well-documented RESTful APIs for internal and external use
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and incident retrospectives
• Mentor peer engineers through technical guidance and pairing
• Ensure system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and proactive performance optimization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong backend development skills in Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python
• Experience building and operating distributed systems in production
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Cloud experience with GCP (preferred) or AWS
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools like Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, payments, or other high-reliability domains
• Experience with JVM-based frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot
