Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Reliability Experience, Incident Management, Observability, and Resiliency teams to design and develop high quality UX
• Create high quality, tested pull requests and review others' designs and code
• Build appropriate tests to ensure software reliability and performance
• Create and present design, product, and architecture documents
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends in Web development and performance engineering, particularly in Reliability and Observability

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry engineering experience
• Experience building internal infrastructure, particularly in Data or Observability spaces
• Fluency in Java, Python, or one object-oriented language
• Solid engineering and coding skills with knowledge of data structures and asynchronous programming
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Prometheus
• Experience with airbnb.io/visx
• Experience with Grafana or similar solutions
• Deep experience solving engineering productivity pain points
