Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Partner with PM, Design, and Data Science to translate goals and requirements into sequenced technical plans
• Write or review technical designs, align tradeoffs, and coordinate dependencies with partner teams
• Build production code and services with high standards for testing, documentation, and performance
• Run design and code reviews and advise engineers to drive consistent engineering standards
• Own delivery by tracking execution risks, coordinating launches, and monitoring post-launch results

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience shipping production systems
• Solid understanding of large-scale backend architecture and distributed systems
• Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, Python, Ruby/Ruby on Rails, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience building and operating backend services
• Ability to drive ambiguous problems to resolution and execute independently
• High engineering quality bar for clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Data-informed decision making using metrics and experimentation
• Fluency in English (Japanese or Korean working proficiency is a plus)
